Darren Shan is a regular teenage kid. He and his friend Steve find out about a Freak Show coming to town and work hard at trying to find tickets. They do, and together they go to “Cirque du Freak” where a series of events will change their lives forever. Fans of the books have long waited for this and let’s hope it lives up to expectations when it opens here on 31 December 2009. Here’s a small bite on what to expect.

David Oh launched his 2nd book entitled Café David: Serving Coffee For The Soul – Relationships 2 at MPH Subang Parade recently. The event began with a 2-minute comedy drama about relationship issues faced by couples, then the book was officially launched by Rev. Kevin Loo from City Harvest Church.
Launch of Alicia Loh’s ‘The Last Chapter’

Alicia Loh is a thirteen year old girl diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 (SMA). She is currently undergoing treatment but this is a condition that is incurable and results in weakening of the muscle. Her one wish is to become a published writer as she loves to write and even has her own blog, alicialoh.com.
Her dream finally came true as Children Wish of Society together with MPH Group Publishing published and launched her debut novella, The Last Chapter today at MPH Mid Valley. The publication of the book is another project by MPH under the Support Local Author Campaign.
The Last Chapter is a story about blossoming and broken relationships, and is selling at RM15 in MPH Bookstores. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be channelled to Alicia’s medical fund.
