A book which entails the history of mankind and the origins and commonality of major religiions entitled Civilizations, Nomadic Migrations, Empires and the Trail of Islam, written by Tuan Syed Salem Albukhary, was officially launched by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Islamic Arts Museum last Friday.
The book, in two volumes, simplifies the complexities of world history and the world’s major religions, and provides an elucidating focus on the trail of Islam. At the launch, Syed Salem had this to say: “Being a novice writer, my work has taken close to thirty years to arrive at its publication, This book is simply about a love affair with world history and in particular, the story of the nomads, my forebears, and their nomadic culture and the trail of Islam, written without any intent to aggrandize any of my own ancestors.”
The book is published in limited copies, made exclusive only for family members and close friends of Syed Salem. Here are some pictures from the event.
