Mistress of the Game is the sequel to Sidney Sheldon’s Master of the Game, published in 1982.

While the latter is perhaps one of the late Sheldon’s (he passed away in 2007) greatest works, this ‘authorised’ sequel is written by Tilly Bagshawe. Stories not written by their original authors usually fall flat like Coke left in a glass, on a cupboard, overnight.

However, Bagshawe managed to capture the essence of the original and did a very commendable impersonation of Sheldon. Having worked in the TV business for 20 years, Sheldon’s writing has the edge of pacing.
