Many varieties of edible mushrooms have become available in markets. In terms of shape, they have this somewhat alien world-like look, and in terms of texture, may be chewy, crisp or crunchy, and even tender. Flavour-wise, some would say savoury.

So a book on mushroom recipes should be a welcome addition to the cook who is itching to pick up an unfamiliar variety and see how it can shape up in the kitchen.
