It is common for parents to wander into a bookstore, browsing through numerous books and having difficulty choosing the right books for their child to read. More often than not, parents end up buying more than a few books to ‘experiment’ before they know with certainty what their child’s preference is. Just when a parent thinks they have it all figured out, their child’s taste in books changes.
Reading Rawks, as the name suggest, is a cool activity and one which MPH has been advocating and continues to do so. It is a guide for parents who want to get their child started on reading. It is a useful tool for teachers looking for age appropriate books to recommend to their students. In a nutshell, it contains tips to encourage reading and suggestions on what to read for those age 0 to 12 years old. The best part is, it’s free and can be picked up at any MPH Bookstores nationwide. The guide is also being made available at selected hospitals and clinics.
