MPH opened its doors last Thursday at Publika in Solaris Dutamas. Staying true to the mall concept of creative retail, regular customers of MPH will notice some fascinating products here besides books – wall stickers, educational toys, quirky stationeries, online kiosk, just to name a few. Here’s a glimpse of what we mean. Of course, nothing beats visiting us yourself and we sure hope to see you there!

Customers who have been visiting MPH The Spring, Kuching or had walked pass the store in recent weeks must have wondered what was going on behind the partition. It looked like an expansion was in the works and they were not far from wrong. MPH The Spring was finally able to ‘unwrap’ all partition shielding the ‘gift’ that awaits its customers – esp4u, a new section derived from the abbreviation of ‘especially for you’, which houses various gifts and stationeries for all occasions.

Come August, MPH Bookstores will open its doors to the delight of book lovers in Solaris Dutamas. Publika, a new mall driven by a strong artistic sense evident in its interior, is set to be the new home for this local bookstore. And mind you, this is not just another MPH Bookstores.

Touted to be the first of its kind in Malaysia, MPH Bookstores is proud to present book buying from a machine. While the concept is not new, it is certainly a fresh take for book buyers here. The machine will make its debut sometime in April and will be rolled out in stages. High traffic areas such as hospitals, banks and LRT stations are some of the places that have been identified as potential spots for the machine.

MPH Bookstores is pleased to bring distinguished author, Guy Clapperton, from the area of online business and social media to share his expertise with the audience. There will also be a panel of experts present for you to learn in person how they blend the use of social media into their business and personal lives.

Participants of the seminar will acquire a better understanding of the world of social media and have access to a range of social networking tactics that will help them reach new customers and clients, as well as to get the existing ones to do more business with them. They will also learn how to use the whole spectrum of social media in an efficient and measurable way in order to market their business, stay ahead of the competition and increase profits

Guy Clapperton is a journalist, broadcaster and book author/editor specialising in small business. He is the author of “The Social Media: Tweet, Blog, Link and Post Your Way to Business Success”.

Guy Clapperton also contributes to The Guardian, Sunday Times, The Financial Times and other numerous periodicals. Most recently, he edited a supplement on Virtualisation from Raconteur Media, which is included in every issue of the Times.
